some stories and thoughts

Disclaimer: Let me introduce you to the new hero and heroine: Agha and Afrina. I’m writing this continual and based-on-my-mood flashfiction in order to improve my writing ability. So, I would be very happy if you correct my grammar or the word use. Just comment below and tell me the correct ones. Happy reading and don’t forget to leave your opinion!

I was just glad it would be the last day of student orientation. It had been three exhausting days. Although tomorrow we would still have another event, well, it’s okay for knowing it was going to end soon.
I discussed with the other friends of my group for tomorrow’s preparation. While we were busy talking to each other, the committee asked for attention because there were some students who had not gotten their group yet. I noticed a girl wearing a head craft spoke a little bit nervous on the stage. Nothing interesting from her but her smile was so heart-warming.
“Be serious, boy!” Kamal standing next to me exclaimed. I turned back to the topic we discussed after spending a whole minute staring at her.

Kamal was higher than me so I stood right behind him, two from the first row in this opening ceremony. As a boy, I knew Kamal included to those who had good looking appearances. This term, destiny chose us to become classmates. I bet he would be a best friend of mine after having amusing days in the collage orientation with him.
While delivering some materials, the dean asked us to sit on the ground. I turned back to examine the situation and suddenly a girl sitting a few meters behind me absorbed my focus. She was the one who was on the stage looking for her group. Clearly I could see her doing something. She was writing the material in her notes. Knowing her doing so, somehow it challenged me. I opened my bag, took my notes, and started writing. Then I wondered, she did nothing to me but her activity couraged me to do so. It seemed I did not want to be defeated, but from what? Writing a note? Hey, who are you?

After three days joining the tiring orientation, it was the time for me to face the last sequence, Student Day. The day before, I was very confused because my name was not on the list. Some students and I –whose name were not mentioned, should come forward in front of all the new students and spell the name as clear as possible but it just found out there was no group having my name on their list. Finally, right before we went home the committee handled it and I was grouped into Ocean’s group.
It took place in the parking lot of the faculty. Each grouped consisted of about ten students and we made a vertical line. On the right side of my group was that of The Moon. When we were having an opening ceremony, separated two people in front of me from the group on my right side, a boy with crew cut hair caught my attention. He was the boy who would be in the same class with me this term. In my opinion, he looks smart. Unfortunately I could not remember his name.
For a long time, I tried to figure out his name. It was rather difficult for me to read the name tag. Oh, well, why should I focus all of my attention to him? I guess he had a magic, -yeah of course not.
“What are you doing? I’m getting bored.” Laila who sat in front of me asked calmly.
“Hey, do you remember? He will be in the same class with us, won’t he?” I asked innocently to her when I realized we would be in the same class, too. She must have known him instead.
“Who?” she enquired.
I pointed at him. He did not know of course because he was focusing his eyes and –maybe his mind too, to the dean’s speech.
“Agha,” Laila commented.
I made an ‘Aah..’ respond.
“He’s cute, huh?” She rather made an opinion than asked.
“Well, that’s what we both of two think now,” I smiled interestingly. Getting an answer sometimes is a lot easier if we know the right person to ask for.
