some stories and thoughts

Happiness might come in a sudden and make us feel the joy of the world. It might because we get a stuff that we have been long desire, receive a news that might change our life, win a tournament for the first or umpteenth time, or many other else. Expressing the joy, however, in many situations leads us to overact that we cannot control ourselves to exaggerate it. We want others to know how it feels but we do not realize that it might annoy them. Thus, in expressing the delight, we should be able to be grateful, share the joy in an appropriate way, and make sure that it does not bother other people and surroundings.

The first thing that we have to do when we are happy is to be grateful. Thanking God for what we receive and have the smile on our faces which does not fade easily is a must. We should be able to understand that the happiness only comes from The Almighty. We just cannot claim that what we achieve and makes us so bright comes from ourselves, from our struggle without any help from others. People who succeed and happy indeed are those who are able to be grateful for what they receive and realize that the joy does not merely come from himself or herself. Never will those people arrogantly say that it is they who can finally raise the happiness itself because they know that happiness does not last forever.

In addition, happiness is something that we should share with other people. Once happiness shines from our eyes, people around us can easily detect it. Even the smile speaks better than words to explain the joy so it is rarely that simple to hide the feeling. Sharing the joy to other people can add the joy in ourselves, though. We can perhaps encourage them to smile, too, so instead of getting the joy for ourselves we can feel it together with our friends, making a better and more comfortable atmosphere through the joy in the air.

Happiness is meant to be shared but if we do it wrong we otherwise irritate our surroundings. People who are so happy may unconsciously scream, smile endlessly, dance in the middle of the room, or do any other strange activities. Mark Strand in his poem Eating Poetry on the fifth stanza expresses the joy happening in a person in a very good way, "She does not understand. When I got on my knees and lick her hand, she screams." Line 13 and 14 of this poem symbolize that people around us might not understand our feeling of joy. We out of blue hug our closest friends, kiss our parents or do other peculiar things but we do not realize that our action might annoy them. Furthermore, if we cannot control our joy it might endanger our surroundings, too. Thus, controlling our action while feeling happy is important in order not to make other people feel bothered with us.

In conclusion, I can say that there are at least three things that we have to notice in expressing our joy. We have to be grateful to God, share the joy to other people, but we also need to make sure that when sharing the happiness we do not irritate other people. In short, we have to be careful in expressing our whole happiness.
