I Was Right

Disclaimer: Let me introduce you to the new hero and heroine: Agha and Afrina. I’m writing this continual and based-on-my-mood flashfiction in order to improve my writing ability. So, I would be very happy if you correct my grammar or the word use. Just comment below and tell me the correct ones. Happy reading and don’t forget to leave your opinion!

I was completely taken aback by ten pieces of paper containing opinions from my classmates. A month ago, the teacher asked us to write an opinion and each should be directed to three different friends. It could be with name to show who the writer was or just anonymous. For surprise, it was me who got the most.

Of the ten messages, only one caught my attention the most. I dabbed my eyes and blew my nose. I tried once again to read the last few letters that were smeared. I bet it was the name of the writer and guessed it was written by my friend, Afrina.

After I had not met her for two days, Afrina called me out of the blue to meet up. Of course I was glad about it. That’s why I sat in one of the benches in the park waiting for her and reread the messages I got. It had been ten minutes and Afrina had not come yet.

“Hey, dude!” I turned back to look for the source even I knew for sure it was from Afrina.

“Hey, what’s up?”

Before answering my question, her attention came to the piece of paper in my hand. “What is all that about?”

I gave a look the paper to her and asked, “Do you know who wrote this cute one?”

Afrina took the paper and read the message –‘You are a very good friend of mine’- and I noticed that she stood still longer, looking for the right answer. At that time I knew I was right.
